ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) _ Juan Gonzalez hit a three-run homer, increasing major league-leading RBI total to 45 and leading the Texas Rangers over the Cleveland Indians 7-3 Saturday night.

Darren Oliver (2-4) pitched a complete game, giving up seven hits. He struck out four and walked one.

Oliver has pitched at least eight innings in his last three games after going 0-3 to begin the season.

Texas trailed 3-1 in the fifth when Fernando Tatis led off with a single against Charles Nagy (3-2). With two outs, Rusty Greer singled and Gonzalez followed with his ninth home run of the season.

Greer began the game in a 5-for-29 slump, but got three hits with a solo home run in the seventh inning. It was his second home run of the year and first since April 11.

Nagy allowed three homers, including a solo drive by Will Clark. Nagy has given up 16 home runs, most in the majors.

Texas allowed at least one run in the first inning for the fifth consecutive game when Sandy Alomar Jr. hit an RBI single. Clark tied it in the second with his sixth homer.

Kenny Lofton put Cleveland ahead 2-1 in the third with his third homer. Manny Ramirez added a sacrifice fly in the Indians fifth.

Texas scored two runs in the eighth on Kevin Elster’s RBI triple and Tatis’ single off Rick Krivda.

Notes: Cleveland’s David Justice was scratched prior to the game with a strained lower back. He is listed as day-to-day. ... Ivan Rodriguez failed to reach the 1,000-hit plateau by going 0-for-4. ... Texas’ Tom Goodwin is 4-for 32 in his last seven games.
