Donald Duby, 99, of St. Anne, passed away Thursday (Aug. 23, 2018) at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1919, in St. Anne, the son of Eugene and Liza Boudreau Duby.
He was the youngest of seven children.
Donald married Charlene Bowers on June 12, 1949, at the 1st Presbyterian Church in St. Anne.
He graduated from St. Anne High School in 1936.
Donald was a dairy and livestock farmer. He was a member of the Kankakee County Farm Bureau. Donald was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in St. Anne, where he also served as an elder and trustee.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, of St. Anne; one daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Marshall Coppotelli; two sons, Dan Duby and Darrel Duby; one daughter-in-law, Kelly Duby; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Donald Duby Jr.; and his siblings, Chester Duby, Edgar Duby, Melvin Duby, Blanche Duby, Esther Boone and Lenore Pallissard.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Seed officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anne Township Cemetery, St. Anne.
