Eight Northeast Ohio hotels earn AAA Four Diamond awards

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Three Cleveland hotels, and 21 in Ohio, have earned AAA’s prestigious Four Diamond awards for 2019. Cleveland award winners are the Ritz-Carlton, the InterContinental and Metropolitan at the 9.

Other winners in Northeast Ohio include the Steele Mansion Inn in Painesville, the Villas at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Julia’s Bed and Breakfast in Hubbard, the Georgian Manor Inn in Norwalk and the Victorian Lady in Norwalk.

New to the list this year: the Hancock Hotel in Findlay.

Columbus award winners are: the Hilton Columbus Downtown, the Hilton Columbus at Easton, the Hilton Columbus/Polaris, the Hotel LeVeque, Le Meridien Columbus and the Renaissance Columbus Downtown.

In Toledo: the Renaissance Toledo Downtown.

And in Cincinnati: 21c Museum Hotel, Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown, the Cincinnatian Hotel and the Westin Cincinnati.

AAA Diamond awards are based on a multistep review process, which includes an unannounced on-site visit by an AAA inspector. Hotels must apply to be considered. The award is given to just 6.3 percent of AAA inspected hotels.

Again this year, Ohio has no Five Diamond award winners.

Award winners in the restaurant category will be announced later this month. For the complete list of hotel winners: aaa.com/diamonds/diamond-awards.
