MONAHANS, Texas (AP) _ A church van returning from a missionary trip to Mexico overturned Saturday in western Texas, killing two passengers and injuring five others, police said.

The passengers, all adults, were returning to Porterdale, Ga., when the van's driver lost control after his leg cramped, state trooper Eric White said. The van rolled twice, ejecting several passengers, he said.

White identified the victims as Dillon Smith, 70, of Blakely, Ga., and Matthew Philip Allen, 27, of Covington, Ga. Two others in the van were hospitalized in serious condition Saturday.

The wreck happened about 6 a.m. along Interstate 20 near Monahans, about 200 miles east of El Paso. White said the Methodist church members had been working in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.
