LUEBECK, Germany (AP) _ Sweden's Armand Krajnc took away Jason Matthews' WBO middleweight title by stopping the British fighter in the eighth round Saturday.

Krajnc, who fights in Germany, ran his record to 22-0 with 15 knockouts while Matthews is now 21-2 with 18 KOs.

On the same card, Russia's Ahmed Kotiev gained a disputed split decision over Daniel Santos of Puerto Rico to retain his WBO welterweight title.

The judges ruled it 115-113 and 115-113 for Kotiev and 117-111 for Santos.
