Union Bank & Trust hires Shonka

Union Bank & Trust recently hired Wade Shonka as an Agricultural Loan Officer.

In his role, Shonka is responsible for assisting ag producers with their lending needs including real estate, operations, equipment, and livestock. He brings over two years of experience, serving most recently as an Assistant Loan Officer for Homestead Bank in Schuyler.

Shonka also currently works for a farmer north of Richland that farms 1,100 acres, runs 50 cows and custom feeds 1,500 head of hogs. He received his bachelor’s degree in ag economics with a minor in agronomy from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing.

Union Bank & Trust is a privately owned, Nebraska bank that offers complete banking, lending, investment and trust services. The bank has thirty-eight full service and loan production offices in Nebraska and Kansas. It is the third-largest privately-owned bank in Nebraska with bank assets of $4 billion and trust assets of $23.3 billion as of June 30, 2018.
