Carol E. Healey -- Plymouth

Carol E. Healey, age 103, a longtime resident of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2018, at the Cornerstone Assisted Living Facility in Plymouth, where she resided since 2010 to be close to her family. She was surrounded by her loving, caring family whom she loved dearly and were the joy of her life. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her positive influence in “our” lives will forever be felt.

Carol was born on Jan. 27, 1915, in Kasson, the daughter of Thorvald and Ella (Peterson) Anderson. She graduated from Kasson High School and the Normal Training Teachers College. She was employed at the Kasson-Mantorville Telephone Exchange until her marriage in 1934, to Clare Healey.

She was a 70-year member of the Christ United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women’s society.

Carol was preceded in death by Clare, her loving husband and best friend of 60 years.

She is survived by her two sons, Howard and David, their wives, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester, 400 Fifth Ave. SW, Rochester, MN 55902. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
