Franco Leads in KSB Open Golf
KAGAWAGUN, Japan (AP) _ Paraguay’s Carlos Franco shot a 4-under-par 67 today to increase his lead after the third round of the Justsystem KSB Open.
The 31-year-old eagled the par-5 18th hole and added three birdies on the Ayutaki Country Club course.
Franco, a three-time winner on the Japan PGA Tour, is at 11-under 202 after three rounds.
Frankie Minoza of the Philippines jumped from fourth place to second with five birdies and only one bogey in his 67. He is at 205.
Japan’s Shoichi Kuwabara had seven birdies in the day’s best score of 64 and was tied for third at 207 with Yoshimitsu Fukuzawa, who had a 66, and Toshimitsu Izawa, who shot 68.
Australian Roger Mackay fired a 69 to end the day sixth at 208.
