Carlyle William Charles Weber, 86, of Manteno, passed away Wednesday, (Nov. 28, 2018) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee. He was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Manteno, the son of Carl P. and Edna M. (Bettenhausen) Weber. He married Louise Smith on May 28, 1955.
He worked as a salesman at Sears for 35 years and also was a truck driver and worked at the Manteno Golf Club. He was a precinct committeeman and election judge, trustee and clerk for Manteno Township for 29 years. Memberships included the Moose Lodge, Manteno School Board and Manteno Sportsmen’s Club. He was Presbyterian.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, playing cards, playing bingo and watching Chicago sports.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Lyle and Lori Weber, of Conyers, Ga., and Brian and Joy Weber, of Bradley; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Terry Wilson, of Manteno; sister, Claretta Bass, of Bourbonnais; five grandchildren, Matthew Weber, Jamie Weber, Kaitlyn (Jeremy) Duff, and Kayla (Peter) Monstwillo, and Mitchell Wilson; 19 step-grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild, Oscar Gerelioglu.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; and one sister, Barbara Stuart.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Brown-Jensen Funeral Home in Manteno, where funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday. Pastor Charles Perabeau will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Manteno.
