Unit: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Unit Corp. (UNT) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $5.8 million.
On a per-share basis, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company said it had net income of 11 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 21 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 14 cents per share.
The oil and natural gas contract drilling company posted revenue of $203.3 million in the period.
Unit shares have climbed 7.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 33 percent in the last 12 months.
