Generals top Highlanders in boys soccer Tuesday

Evan McCray scored a goal and assisted on two others to keep the visiting Generals unbeaten as Winfield tops Huntington High 3-0.

Coen Preston and Ryan Shrewsbury each added a goal for Winfield (7-0).

BOYD COUNTY 1, EAST CARTER 1: Oliver Stuag gave the Lions an early 1-0 lead, scoring off an assist by Jonathan Hicks, but the Raiders tied it on Ethan Miller’s penalty kick at 78:08.

FAIRLAND 0, ROCK HILL 0: The Dragons and Redmen played to a scoreless tie Tuesday right after the Fairland and Rock Hill girls finished a 1-1 game.

SOUTH POINT 3, CHESAPEAKE 1: Marquise Yancey scored at 44:23 to break a 1-1 tie as the Pointers defeated the Panthers.

SOUTH WEBSTER 7, WHEELERSBURG 1: Shiloah Blevins and Gavin Bennett scored twice apiece to pace the Jeeps last the Pirates. Aaron Jolly scores on a penalty kick.

HURRICANE 4, PARKERSBURG SOUTH 0: Alik Assi scored two goals and recorded an assist to lead the Redskjns past visiting Parkersburg South.

Drake Lester and Ryan Fisher each tacked on a score for Hurricane (5-1), as Nick Eskins recorded the shutout.

IRONTON ST. JOE 6, CLC 0: Laiken Unger and Emma Whaley scored two goals apiece as the Flyers defeated Cross Lanes Christian.

POCA 4, SCOTT 3: Estrella Hernandez scored two goals and added an assist to power the Dots to a home triumph over the Skyhawks.
