AAUW to discuss love of the planet on Feb. 14
Feb. 14 is a day to focus on love. For members of the American Association of University Women Fort Bend Branch, the Feb. 14 will be an opportunity to focus on love of the planet and their personal environment.
“We will hear Katharine Hayhoe, atmospheric scientist and professor of political science at Texas Tech University and director of the Climate Science Center,” the AAUW reported in a news release. “Through her TEDx Talk, Dr. Hayhoe says, ‘The most important thing you can do about climate change is talk about it.’”
The talk will be followed by open discussion.
The program will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. with a social period followed by the program at 7 p.m. at Wharton County Junior College Brazos Hall, Room 281, 14004 University Blvd. in Sugar Land.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
