Temporary lane closures expected to continue near Berkman project
Temporary lane closures near Alatus’ Berkman construction project are expected to continue in 2019.
Weis Builders has periodically closed approximately 400 feet of a traffic lane on 15th Avenue Southwest, extending south from Second Street, for concrete supply trucks.
According to Rochester Public Works, the occasional closures are expected to continue through July 31.
The Berkman is a $115 million, 13-story luxury apartment and commercial complex. It lies immediately west of Saint Marys Hospital. The lane closures on 15th Avenue do not affect traffic into the hospital entrance.
The closures, which require flaggers at each end, are expected to take place approximately once a week.
In addition to the temporary closures, a 14th Avenue Southwest parking lane will remain closed. The closure is expected to continue throughout 2019.
Access to all properties is expected to be maintained during the closures.
