LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Jorge Santillana scored twice in the first 19 minutes to lead Atlas of Guadalajara to a 3-2 victory over El Salvador’s national team Saturday night in the Coliseum Cup soccer tournament.

Atlas, runnerup in Mexico’s First Division this season, claimed third place by winning the first game of Saturday night’s doubleheader at the Memorial Coliseum.

Guatemala was playing Atletico Morelia of Mexico in the final.

Santillana scored his first goal in the 12th minute when he beat goalkeeper Sergio Munoz on a breakaway.

Seven minutes later, Santillana redirected Juan Pablo Garcia’s cross from the right wing with his left foot to give Atlas a 2-0 lead.

Juan Urteaga added what proved to be the winning goal when he deflected another cross from Garcia in the 23rd minute.

El Salvador’s Ernesto Gochez and Alexander Amaya del Cid scored in the 44th and 50th minutes, respectively.

Atlas played with 10 men during second-half stoppage time after midfielder Jorge Almiron received a red card in the 90th minute.
