Charlotte university delays spring semester because of mold concerns
Johnson C. Smith University is delaying the start of its spring semester because of suspected mold in residence halls.
Students told officials of the possible mold in a few dorms, a statement said. Officials at the university, in Charlotte, used the winter break to clean all residence halls.
Instead of Jan. 8, classes will resume Jan. 22. Residence halls will not open until Jan. 18 with limited exceptions.
If students must return before work in their residence halls is completed, they will relocated to alternate housing.
