Gonzaga 80, E. Washington 65
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) _ Lorenzo Rollins’ 27 points led Gonzaga over Eastern Washington 80-65 on Saturday.
Rollins scored 21 first half points as Gonzaga improved to 5-4 on the year.
Eastern fell to 4-5, in part because Gonzaga dominated the rebounding 47-22.
Rollins scored the final 13 points of the first half for the Bulldogs as they took a 48-33 lead into the locker room.
Gonzaga built the lead to 27 points in the second half before Eastern Washington came back against the Bulldogs’ reserves.
Backari Hendrix added 14 points and nine rebounds for Gonzaga and Matt Santangelo had 14 points.
Jon Berger came off the bench to lead the Eagles with 12 points. Luke Egan, Kevin Lewis, Rodrick McClure, Michael Lewis had 10 points each for Eastern.
