CHICAGO (AP) _ Kati Safaritova scored 20 points to lead No. 25 Texas Christian to a 68-57 victory over Saint Louis in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA tournament Saturday night.

Ashanti Nix added 13 points and Tiffany Evans 10 for the top-seeded Lady Frogs, who have won five straight games and nine of their last 10. TCU (23-5) will play Tulane in the semifinals on Sunday.

Angie Lewis led Saint Louis (14-15) with 15 points, and Harmonie King and Star Jackson each had 14 but the Billikens shot just 27 percent from the field (16-of-59).

The ninth-seeded Billikens took a 19-16 lead when Lewis hit a layup and a free throw. But the Frogs, who were the regular-season conference champions, responded with an 8-1 run to go up 24-20. The half ended with TCU ahead 32-28.

In the second half, TCU went on a 9-2 run to take a 56-42 lead with 9:37 left. The Billikens followed with a 7-2 run of their own but never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

TCU controlled the boards 47-38, with Sandora Irvin grabbing 12 rebounds.
