CCS Students to partake in 3rd annual event
SCOTTSBLUFF — The Community Christian School’s annual Clean City Scramble will take place on Friday, Sept. 28, from 9 to 11 am.
CCS students and families will be assigned to clean various zones in the Scottsbluff/Gering community. In the past two years, the students have collected over 1,000 pounds of trash in the community. In order to reach its fundraising goal, students are looking for sponsors for the event.
Community members and business owners are asked to make a monetary donation to the school. Look for students to visit and ask for sponsorships for this day of service in the community.
Principal of Community Christian School, Deirdre Amundsen, said, “Our CCS family is excited to again take part in the Clean City Scramble. This event is a fantastic community service project that promotes a sense of ownership and heart of servanthood in the Scottsbluff/Gering area. We are encouraging not only our students, but their families to come out and enjoy this time of service and fellowship on Sept. 28.”
Enrollment at the school is approximately 100 in preschool through sixth grade, not including the students in our child care facility. For more information about The Clean City Scramble, contact the CCS office manager or Amundsen at 308-632-2230.
