Chargers Re-Sign Parker, Binn
SAN DIEGO (AP) _ The San Diego Chargers re-signed tackle Vaughn Parker to a five-year contract and long snapper David Binn to a two-year deal Friday. Both were unrestricted free agents.
Financial terms weren’t immediately available.
Also Friday, cornerback Charles Dimry retired after 12 NFL seasons, the last two with his hometown Chargers. He also played with Atlanta, Denver, Tampa Bay and Philadelphia.
Parker has started 60 of 74 games played since he was taken in the second round of the 1994 draft out of UCLA. He has played both right and left tackle, and last year started 15 games at right tackle.
Binn has been the Chargers’ long snapper since signing as a rookie free agent out of California in 1994.
