Now THIS is the best snow day announcement ever

February 13, 2019

STAMFORD — Superintendent Earl Kim called a snow day yesterday and everyone celebrated in their own way...including through music.

On Feb. 12, Stamford Public Schools had a snow day in wake of a winter storm that brought snow and sleet to the area.

Westhill High School Principal Michael Rinaldi decided to share the good news with students via a music video which he shared on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

Set to the music from “Hall of Fame” by The Script, Rinaldi announced the snow day and told students all the possibilites the day could hold. He was backed up by the Westhill gospel choir in purple and yellow robes who sang the chorus: “Mr. Kim called a snow day.”

The two-minute video was filmed and edited by Westhill senior Harrison Travaglino.
