Florence-Darlinton Tech holds nurse pinning ceremony
FLORENCE, S.C. -- Florence-Darlington Technical College Tuesday honored 22 Associate Degree Nursing Program graduates at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology.
Each graduate of FDTC’s Associate Degree of Nursing class received their pins during the program. After the class received their pins, they recited the Florence Nightingale Pledge.
Graduates were also honored with three class awards that were presented to top students. Winning this semester’s Academic Excellence Award was Blake Rochester of Florence. He had the class’s highest grade point average. The graduating students voted on the Thelma Laird Award, and winning that honor was Florence’s Andrea Spears. Faculty members voted on the Clinical Award, and this semester’s honor went to Cherelle Sade’ Mace of Florence.
