Plane Hits Pakistan Neighborhood

KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) _ A Pakistan air force plane crashed in a crowded Karachi neighborhood today, injuring at least three people, police said. Three houses were in flames, trapping an unknown number of people.

Casualties were expected to rise.

The pilot and co-pilot bailed out before the plane crashed in Karachi’s western Orangi district, a densely populated, lower-middle class neighborhood.

Air force officials confirmed the crash, but had few other details.
