Free summer music series
With the arrival of the summer event season, there are plenty of things planned to get you outside. Check Weekender each week for festivals, concerts and more of what’s going on in the area.
To get you started, here are some free outdoor music series happening in the area. Grab your chairs or blankets and head out for the fun. Dates and times are subject to change, especially due to weather.
Lunch on the Square
The Downtown Improvement District organizes the weekly lunchtime concerts that run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays (except July 4) at Freimann Square at Clinton and Main streets. Food trucks and other vendors will be on site.

Friday Nites Live on the Lawn
The concert series takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays at Jefferson Pointe, 4130 W. Jefferson Blvd. Previously held at the fountain, the concerts move this summer to the lawn next to AMC.

Rock the Plaza
The Allen County Public Library hosts this concert series from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturdays on its downtown plaza, 900 Library Plaza. Pets are not allowed. Concerts will also be streamed on the library’s Access Fort Wayne channel (Comcast 55 and Verizon 25) and radio station WELT 95.7.

Lunch on the Plaza
Allen County Public Library will also host a lunchtime concert each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on its downtown plaza. Food trucks will be on site during the concerts.

Events are at the outdoor theater in Franke Park, 3411 Sherman Blvd. The theater will not have its movie series this summer.

Kehoe Park Summer Concert Series
Bluffton Parks and Recreation hosts concerts in Kehoe Park, behind Dutch Mill Plaza on Indiana 1 in Bluffton. The rain site for concerts is Bluffton High School, 1 Tiger Trail, Bluffton.
