Havasu man faces several drug charges after investigation of activity at home

A Lake Havasu City man is facing drug charges after city police said they discovered a variety of drugs inside a Rolling Hills Drive home.

According to information from Lake Havasu City police, 54-year-old Herbert E. Kuerner, was arrested on several drug charges after a two-month investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Kuerner was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, weapons misconduct, and two counts of sale of dangerous drugs.

Over the last two months, detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), conducted an investigation into a subject selling methamphetamine at a residence in the 1100 block of Rolling Hills Drive in Lake Havasu City.

At about 10:20 p.m. Thursday, the city’s SWAT team, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit and the Special Investigations Unit, served a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Rolling Hills Drive. During the search, usable amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana were located, along with items of drug paraphernalia and a gun.

During his initial appearance, Kuerner was held on a $35,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
