Florence One schools will reopen Tuesday

September 18, 2018

FLORENCE, S.C. – All schools and offices in the Florence One Schools district will be open Tuesday with normal operation hours.

All Florence One students, faculty and staff members will report to work and to classes at the regularly scheduled times.

The district’s schools were closed Monday because of the lasting effects from Hurricane Florence.

It was the fifth consecutive school day with no classes.

After S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster announced on Sept. 10 that coastal evacuations would begin the next day, Florence One Schools and most other districts in the Pee Dee called off school for the rest of the week.
