HUNTINGTON - A Huntington woman was allegedly stabbed in the neck by her estranged husband Sunday afternoon, according to Huntington Police Chief Hank Dial.

Lela Thompson, age unknown, told police that Brandon Thompson, her estranged husband, stabbed her at her home in the 2100 block of Adams Avenue just after 2 p.m. on Sunday.

“The victim fled to a neighbor’s house and the neighbor called 911,” Dial said.

Dial said the suspect fled the scene, but was spotted by residents in the area of the stabbing and was arrested.

Dial said Brandon Thompson, age unknown, has charges pending and would most likely be charged with malicious wounding.

Lela Thompson was transported to a local hospital, but her condition is unknown.

No other details were released and the investigation is ongoing, according to Dial.
