SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Springfield man charged with assaulting a 65-year-old driver in a road rage incident has been arrested after officers allegedly found drugs in his car.

Jorge Ramos was charged Thursday with cocaine trafficking and assault and battery on a person age 60 or older.

Police say the 32-year-old Ramos was speeding in Springfield and almost hit the 65-year-old man's car. They say Ramos became enraged and tailgated the man, pulled his SUV in front of the other car and then punched the older man in the face. The victim refused medical attention.

The victim alerted officers who stopped Ramos and say they discovered 20 grams of cocaine in his vehicle.

Ramos is expected to be arraigned Friday. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.
