Get Healthy CT offers advice on nutrition
The regional health coalition Get Healthy Connecticut is offering advice on making healthier food choices For National Nutrition Month in March, Get Healthy Connecticut. In its monthly health feature, “Celebrate National Nutrition Month,” at www.GetHealthyCT.org, the coalition has such articles as “Say No to Weight Loss Frauds,” “Make Your Takeout Healthier,” and “Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Tips for Families.”
Many of the articles have helpful tips, including “Make Your Takeout Healthier,” which offers such advice as “Pick dishes that highlight veggies, like chicken and broccoli or vegetable stir fry. Be mindful of the type and amount of sauce used.”
Get Healthy CT is a community coalition that works in the greater Bridgeport, New Haven and Greenwich regions, providing information about being healthy and local resources to support healthy eating and physical activity through its website, Facebook or Twitter (@GetHealthyCT). Printed information packets are available in some area libraries, community centers, regional health departments and other locations.
