Fairland High celebrates graduates in Class of 2019

PROCTORVILLE — Fairland High School’s Class of 2019, clad in their green and white robes, walked across the stage to receive their high school diplomas Friday evening during the school’s annual graduation ceremony in the Carl York Athletic Center at the school.

The senior Dragons chose the sunflower as their class flower and Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill” as their class song.

The top graduate of the class was McKenna Pannell.

More Lawrence County high school graduations will take place this weekend, with Chesapeake, South Point, Dawson-Bryant and Ironton high school graduations taking place Sunday, May 26.

Symmes Valley graduates were honored at their commencement ceremony on Friday.
