Reds Trade Eddie Priest to Indians
CINCINNATI (AP) _ The Cincinnati Reds traded left-handed pitcher Eddie Priest and outfielder Christian Rojas to Cleveland for left-hander Rick Krivda in a deal Tuesday.
Krivda, 28, was 2-0 with a 3.24 earned run average in one start and 10 relief appearances for the Indians. He went to spring training with Baltimore before the Indians claimed him on waivers March 24.
His last appearance for the Indians was June 6 when he pitched the final inning of their 10-1 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.
He has an 11-14 overall record with a 4.93 ERA and one complete game in 56 big-league appearances, including 35 starts, for the Orioles and Indians.
Priest, 24, was a combined 5-3 with a 3.45 ERA this season in 10 starts for the Reds’ Triple-A Indianapolis and Double-A Chattanooga affiliates. He went 0-1 with a 10.50 ERA in a pair of starts for Cincinnati.
Rojas, 22, was hitting .284 with eight homers and 20 runs batted in during 40 games at Single-A Burlington.
