Former Ainsworth standout transfers from South Dakota

July 15, 2018

Ainsworth graduate Brady Delimont announced Friday evening that he will transfer from the University of South Dakota to Chadron State College for next season.

“After talking with my family and a lot of praying, I have decided to transfer from the University of South Dakota and continue my college basketball career elsewhere,” he posted to his Twitter account.

A four-year starter in high school, Delimont graduated in 2016 as the state’s all-time 3-point leader with 320. As a senior, he averaged 27.6 points and 7.6 assists per game and was named the Daily News’ Class C Elite Eight captain.

He did not record any statistics in two years with the Coyotes. South Dakota hired Todd Lee as its new coach in April after Craig Smith, a former Husker assistant, was named head coach at Utah State.

“With that being said, I’m excited to announce I’ll continue my college basketball career at Chadron State for Coach (Houston) Reed,” Delimont wrote.
