To all the men and women of the armed forces, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard:

January 8, 2019

Consider and abide the oath you took upon entering your term of service to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”. Not to any person. To the Constitution of the US, alone.

You are obliged by the Uniform Code of Military Conduct to disobey any and all illegal orders issued to you by anyone in your chain of command.

The onerous burden of safeguarding the future of these United States and the Constitution, and very possibly the future of life on Earth, is now to a very great degree, though not exclusively, as we all have a duty to do what is right, on your shoulders.

You may have no other guidance than your own conscience.

You must do what is right, for yourselves, the citizens you protect and posterity.

You must, above all, remember that honorable, noble and sacred oath you swore to.

May Providence be with you and us all.

Kevin Jamison,

Blackfoot
