Former Transport Minister Dies
TOKYO (AP) _ Kinji Moriyama, Japan’s former transport minister and a member of the House of Representatives, died Saturday of a heart attack. He was 70 years old.
Moriyama, a law graduate of Tokyo University, was elected to the Diet at the age of 33. He served the governing Liberal Democratic Party as acting secretary general and deputy chairman of the executive council.
He also served in the Foreign Ministry. He became transport minister in 1978.
