They’re believers: Vees to salute Diamond in Chatfield show

CHATFIELD — The music of Neil Diamond will be performed by Matt Vee and the Killer Vees at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Chatfield Center for the Arts, 405 Main St. S.

“I Am, He Said” will feature music from Diamond’s catalog, including his own hits as well as songs he wrote for other artists: “Cracklin’ Rosie,” Song Sung Blue,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Holly Holy,” “Cherry, Cherry” and “I’m a Believer.”

The Vees are made up of sons and friends of the late legendary singer Bobby Vee, along with veteran Minnesota musicians.

As a concert finale, the Vees will be joined by a community choir directed by Carmen Narveson.
