MARSEILLE, France (AP) _ Sweden's Magnus Gustafsson upset third-seeded Sergi Bruguera of Spain 6-3, 6-4 in second-round play Wednesday at the Marseille Indoor tennis tournament.

Second-seeded Richard Krajicek of the Netherlands advanced to the next round when his opponent, France's Sebastien Grosjean, retired with an ankle injury. At the time, Krajicek was leading 6-3, 5-5.

In other matches in the $514,000 tournament, No. 7 Albert Portas of Spain beat Daniel Vacek of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-2 and No. 6 Thomas Enqvist of Sweden downed Spain's Jordi Burillo 6-4, 6-3.
