Beaver Dam Police Beat: August 8, 2018
Vandalism — A woman reported broken glass on the door of her house in the 300 block of Rosendale Street at 7:51 a.m. on Wednesday.
Animal complaint — A man reported a black Cadillac with two dogs inside for more than 15 minutes in the 100 block of Frances Lane at 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday. An officer did not locate anything upon arrival.
Theft — A juvenile reported a stolen bicycle in the 200 block of South Vita Avenue at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday.
Threat — A woman reported to police at 12:19 p.m. Wednesday that her son received threats via Snapchat.
Traffic complaint — Someone reported that a man in a Green Honda Accord was driving around North Spring Street and Knaup Drive with a 1-year-old in the passenger seat without a car seat at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday. The woman who was listed as the contact for the vehicle said she sold it in June to a salvage company and she had no idea who was driving it.
Wellness check — Officers re-opened a case about a woman with too many animals at her residence in the 1000 block of North Spring Street at 6:34 p.m. on Wednesday. She admitted to taking in strays and there was urine and feces all over the residence. The Human Society took 13 adult cats, 1 kitten and 1 adult dog. 2-3 cats were unable to be removed. The woman was advised to not take in any more animals or she would receive a citation.
Stolen vehicle — A man reported a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of Park Avenue at 10:51 p.m. Wednesday.
Suspicious behavior — A woman reported at 11:42 p.m. Wednesday that while she was in the 400 block of Roedl Court a man in a two-door hatchback tried to get her into it and asked her if she wanted to go do something. The subject is a middle-aged man with dark hair. She said she would call back if she sees the car again.
Theft — A man reported someone stole a Hi-Point 9mm pistol from his apartment in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive at 1:03 a.m. Thursday.
