Rochester man injured in Hwy. 52 crash
A Rochester man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 52.
Lawrence Duane Martinez, 69, of Rochester was northbound in the middle lane driving a 2004 Mazda sedan at about 2:19 p.m. Monday on U.S. 52 near Second Street Southwest when a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by Jared Michael Rudlong, 37, of Rochester, was also northbound in the left-hand lane, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. The Mazda attempted to move to the left lane and the vehicles collided.
Martinez was transported via Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Hospital–Saint Marys with non-life threatening injuries, the report states. No update on his condition was available.
Rudlong was not injured in the crash, the report states.
The Rochester Fire Department assisted on scene.
