Penguins to be featured on national TV 15 times in 2018-19

As usual, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be all over the national TV scene.

The Penguins will appear on NBC stations 15 times in the upcoming season, highlighted by the Stadium Series game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 23 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The Penguins will appear on “Wednesday Night Hockey” on NBC Sports Network seven times, including divisional matchups against the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals (2).

Including the Stadium Series game, three Penguins-Flyers matchups and three Penguins-Capitals will be played in front of a national TV audience.

In their only trip to Pittsburgh during the regular season, the Edmonton Oilers and Connor McDavid will face the Penguins on NBCSN on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m.

Other national TV games including matchups against the Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning

Several other midweek NBCSN broadcasts will be blacked out in the Pittsburgh market. Those games will be broadcast locally on AT&T Sportsnet.
