Man Gets More than a Decade in Prison for Armed Robbery in Longmont
A Boulder district judge sentenced a man who robbed a man at gunpoint last year to more than a decade earlier this month.
Online court records show Adam Joseph Lucero, 35, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated robbery on April 2. Prosecutors dropped drug, weapons, obstruction and violation of bail bond condition charges.
Lucero was sentenced to 13 years in the custody of the Colorado Department of Corrections. He received credit for the nearly 300 days he had been in custody at the Boulder County Jail, records show.
A Longmont police SWAT team arrested Lucero on June 28, after he refused to come out of a home on Mount Evans Drive . Police had been looking for Lucero, who they said robbed a man on Ken Pratt Boulevard the day before.
Colorado Department of Corrections records indicate Lucero is being held at the Denver Reception and Diagnostic Center.
