CLINE McNEELY

CLINE McNEELY, 84, passed from this life Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he received excellent and compassionate care. Cline’s working career included Compton’s Off ice Machines and several years as a building contractor with partner Jon Light. He then moved on to ACF and finally retired from Bearings Inc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Norman McNeely; parents, Willie and Edna Clay McNeely; and three brothers, Donald, Richard and Willie Jr. He is survived by a son, Allen (Kelli); a daughter, Jean Ann Smailes (George); three grandchildren, Leslie Edens, with whom he resided, Megan Leighty and Patrick McNeely; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Rebecca Leighty; a sister, Barbara McNeely (Everett) Black; two nieces and several nephews. Through the years, Cline dedicated many hours helping others through the Chesapeake Community Center Food Bank, Salvation Army and CAO as well as The Gideons. In lieu of f lowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Community Food Bank or Salvation Army. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory by Pastor Harold Hamlin. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.
