Firefighters battling structure fire early Sunday
Firefighters from Scottsbluff, Gering and Scottsbluff Rural Fire Departments battled a fire at a Scottsbluff business early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to a building at 801 Ferdinand Plaza at about 2 a.m.
Scottsbluff Fire Capt. Ryan Lohr said that building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
“We had fire coming out of a window on the northeast corner of the building,” he said. “We were able to hit it from the outside, and then we made entry and got it knocked down.”
The fire was contained by around 3 a.m. The cause of the fire had not yet been determined as of this report.
The building is listed as being owned by Bentley-Miller Limited Partnership LLC, according to Scotts Bluff County tax records. Bentley-Miller is the corporation that owns the Scottsbluff Arby’s and other franchise locations.
