DURAND, Mich. (AP) — Authorities in Michigan’s Shiawassee County are warning residents about a phone scam that is targeting grandparents.

The caller has told the people that he can’t provide any more information because a judge has issued a gag order and then asks the residents to buy him gift cards, take a photograph of them or give tell him the code identification on the back.
