Scottville man pleads guilty to breaking into business
Garth Lemire Jr. pleaded guilty in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday to breaking and entering stemming from an incident back on July 31, 2018.
Lemire, 20, of Scottville, agreed to pleading guilty while having a charge of larceny from a building dismissed.
Lemire admitted to the court that he had a role in breaking and entering the River Run Livery in Scottville last summer. Judge Susan Sniegowski asked if he was intent on stealing something, and he replied that yes, he was planning to steal cash from a register.
Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola asked Lemere if there was someone else who went into the office, and if that person or persons were acting with Lemere, and Lemere affirmed that was correct.
Lemere’s attorney, Becky Sue Lederer, is requesting the court to consider the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act as a part of his sentencing.
