Montana State 89, Boise State 63
BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Senior center Dwayne Michaels scored 19 points and senior guard Eric Talley added 18 as Montana State road a 69 percent field goal scoring percentage in route to an 89-63 Big Sky Conference basketball victory over Boise State Saturday night.
Talley lead the Bobcats (18-7, 6-6)
to a 41-35 halftime lead on the strength of three of his game-high five 3-point field goals.
Montana State widened the lead to 50-39 at the 16:40 mark of the second half on a field goal by Michaels. Talley added a 3-pointer and forward Adam Leachman tallied two field goals to put the Bobcats ahead 67-51 with 7:50 left in the game.
Boise State (16-9, 6-7) was lead by center Phil Rodman with 13 while Sherman Morris and J.D. Huleen added 12 each.
Montana State out-rebounded the Broncos 34-22 and hit eight of 13 from the 3-point range compared with five for 19 for the Broncos. Talley was five for five from the 3-point range.
