Police: Robbers steal $100,000 worth of jewelry
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police are searching for two people they say stole at least $100,000 in jewelry from a Manhattan store.
WABC-TV reports the robbery happened Tuesday afternoon at Lucky Diamonds in Chinatown. Police say one suspect threatened a worker while the other grabbed jewels.
Investigators say a worker tried to lock the door before the suspects shot the door. The robbers kicked the glass in and fled.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspects.
An investigation continues.
