HOUSTON (AP) _ The Houston Astros on Sunday released righ-thanded pitcher Scott Bankhead.

Houston signed the 32-year-old to a minor league contract on Feb. 13 and invited him to spring training as a non-roster player. In seven exhibition games this year, he had an 0-1 record with a 7.59 ERA and no saves.

The Astros now have 31 players remaining in their major league camp.
