Fans Torch Bus With Rival’s Fans
ATHENS, Greece (AP) _ More than 500 fans Olympiakos Piraeus threw gasoline bombs at a bus loaded with AEK Athens fans heading Wednesday to a Greek Cup game between the rivals.
Four AEK fans were injured in the attack near central Athens, which destroyed a tour bus loaded with more than 50 people coming from the southern port of Patra.
Two fans were injured when Olympiakos fans pelted the passengers as they were exiting the bus, while another two were hospitalized with cuts from breaking windows to escape flames.
Police made no arrests. Nearly all the Olympiakos fans were on motorcycles.
It was the second time in less than a week that clashes have broken out between Olympiakos and AEK fans.
Referees evicted thousands of fans from a basketball game between the teams when a riot broke out in the stands Sunday.
