Hearst Connecticut Media Group names new publisher
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Hearst Connecticut Media Group has a new publisher.
Paul Barbetta officially began his new job Tuesday.
Barbetta has served as senior vice president of circulation for Hearst Newspapers since 2012, a role he will continue to hold.
Before joining Hearst, Barbetta served as senior vice president of operations and logistics for CBA Industries, where he was responsible for the packaging, production and distribution of advertising inserts to 12 million homes weekly. He has also worked for Newsday Inc., The Baltimore Sun and USA Today.
The Hearst Connecticut Media Group is a network of nine daily and weekly newspapers and their associated websites. It includes the daily newspapers the Connecticut Post, The News-Times, The Advocate and the Greenwich Time.
Barbetta succeeds Henry Haitz.
