Woman dies after being dragged under trailer in Colorado

August 8, 2018

AURORA, Colo. (AP) — A woman has died after being dragged for several blocks under a camping trailer in suburban Denver.

Aurora police say a pickup pulling the trailer Monday evening backed into a sedan in a parking lot. The driver drove on, and the driver of the sedan followed until the pickup stopped. As the car’s driver and his wife walked up to confront the pickup driver, he began to make a U-turn, running over and trapping the woman underneath the trailer.

The woman was pronounced dead at a hospital. The Denver Post reports Henry Wardwell, the driver of the pickup, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal crash. It’s unclear if he has hired an attorney.
