Officials say 7 injured in crash near Annapolis
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a head-on traffic collision near Annapolis has injured seven people, some of whom have life-threatening injuries.
Lt. Jennifer McKee, an Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokeswoman, tells The Capital Gazette multiple rescue units responded to the wreck on a service road near the Bay Bridge around 2 p.m. Sunday.
McKee said seven people were taken to hospitals.
The newspaper reports a Maryland State Police helicopter took a 56-year-old woman and two men in their mid-20s with life-threatening injuries to the University of Maryland Medical Center’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Four others, who had injuries that weren’t life-threatening, were taken to an Annapolis hospital.
